What therapeutic areas, modalities, breakthroughs are you excited about?

PharmaFellow- It seems to me like oncology isn’t going anywhere. There are a lot of cool techs that are coming to the space including bispecifics and CRISPR-CAS9. We also have others that are available but will probably be improved or uptake increased- things like CAR-T.

JakeRx- Gene therapies are exciting to me but the market access challenges, especially in the US are worrying.

RPF- It is undeniable that we are in the midst of a boom of new technologies in biopharma that will likely have a profound impact on the way we discover drugs and treat diseases. From the mrna vaccines which have been a much-needed bullet for COVID to CRISPR technology to gene therapies, there is a lot of exciting work currently ongoing. What are some specific things you are most excited about or think will revolutionize how we treat diseases?\r\n\r\nRelated, what therapeutic areas do you see reaping the benefit? Right now oncology, immunology, and rare diseases seem to be largely ruling the day with a lot of money invested into those spaces. Do you see this continuing?
